Edinburgh New Town Cookery School, based in the centre of Scotland’s capital city, has some courses of interest to aspiring yacht chefs or those who wish to increase their skills. Our teachers are very experienced and the Principal, Fiona Burrell, has been involved for many years in training chefs who have then gone on to numerous different areas of the food industry, including  as cooks and chefs on Super Yachts.

                                                                           

Edinburgh itself is a culinary delight with many fantastic restaurants and food businesses. It is an exciting place to be and we have courses which last from 1 week to 6 months. The one month courses are particularly suitable for training people who have little cooking experience. The next dates for our courses are:

21^st May – 15^th June –One Month Certificate Course

18^th – 22^nd June – One Week Beginners Course

25^th – 29^th June – One Week Intermediate Course

2^nd – 27^th July – One Month Certificate Course

13^th August – 7^th September – One Month Certificate Course

17^th September – 22^nd March – Six Month Practical Diploma

17^th September – 30^th November – Three Month Beginners Certificate Course

7^th January – 22^nd March – Three Month Intermediate/ Advanced Certificate Course

All these courses are intensely practical and we spend time working on every students food presentation. The courses of one month and over also work on menu planning and include a REHIS Basic Food Hygiene course.
